Our 6,000 Atlanta Bar members - including students from area law schools - are as diversified and varied as the activities and programs we offer to them. This includes numerous professional, social, financial, charitable and civic programs and services, which we hope you will explore!
Our association provides Continuing Legal Education courses which have won national recognition and present quality cost-effective programming to equip lawyers in their areas of practice. Each year, Pro Bono March Madness offers numerous CLE programs to train lawyers to volunteer with our public interest organizations to address some of the unmet needs of our legal community. Our Sections and committees build relationships and leadership skills. The Lawyer Referral and Information Service assists the public in finding the right attorney who can serve them with professionalism, integrity and a commitment to service.
We enjoy healthy, collaborative relationships with other community bars, including the State Bar of Georgia, minority bars and many sister bar associations. In 2000, the Atlanta Bar led the way in forming the Multi-Bar Leadership Council (MBLC), which brings representatives from 14 bar associations together each month to discuss ways to enhance diversity and inclusion in the law.
Our programs, service and outreach continue to grow and serve our members and community. Please email us if you would like to learn more about the Atlanta Bar Association.
