Lawyer Referral and Information Service

Do you need a employment discrimination attorney?

Are you being harassed on the job, earning less money, or otherwise being treated differently because of your race, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, gender or disability?

If an employer is found guilty of an intentional act of discrimination or practices that have a discriminatory effect, an employee or potential employee may be entitled to employment discrimination damages. Damages may include awards such as back pay for lost wages or payment for pain and suffering.

The Lawyer Referral and Information Service (LRIS) has been serving the general public in the metropolitan Atlanta and surrounding areas since 1955.  The goal of our LRIS is to refer you to the right attorney who reflects legal professionalism, integrity and a commitment to service.

Listen to The Layman's Lawyer Show on Employment Law.

How the service works:

Step One

Call us at (404) 521-0777 or complete an online referral request.

Step Two

Our referral staff will need a brief description of your legal issue, your name, address and phone number (all information is confidential).

Step Three

We will provide you with the name and phone number of a qualified lawyer who handles your type of problem and who is located, if applicable, in the geographic area convenient to you.

Step Four

Your initial half-hour consultation with the attorney will cost no more than $45. There is no fee for many areas of law.

Step Five

If further legal service is required, the fee arrangements are made between you and the attorney.
