Sole Practitioner/Small Firm Section
Our mission is to increase the quality and profitability of the practices and lives of small firm lawyers and sole practitioners who are members of the Atlanta Bar Association.
We do this by:
1. Educating, disseminating information to, and facilitating the exchange of knowledge and information among small firms and sole practitioners regarding the business, management and administration of a law practice.
2. Encouraging and facilitating referral, association with and consultation by members on legal matters.
3. Bringing together and unifying sole practitioners and small firm lawyers for the common purposes of increasing the quality and profitability of their practices.
4. Developing awareness in the bar, the judiciary and the public of the high standard of practice and professionalism of sole practitioners and small firm lawyers.
We accomplish our objectives through meetings, newsletters, publications, electronic media and social and educational programs and events. We focus our efforts on programs and projects that are simple, efficient and feasible, yet effective in furthering the Section’s goals. We do not undertake to provide assistance with or address issues relating to substantive areas of law or that primarily affect practitioners of particular types of law.
We are committed to improving the profitability, competitiveness and quality of life of sole practitioners and small firm lawyers. We perceive ourselves as Atlanta’s largest law firm, a group of talented, capable and committed lawyers who have joined together to contribute business, expertise, abilities, insight and voices to the common purpose of operating more profitable law firms and producing higher quality legal work.
