PART OF PRO BONO MARCH MADNESS

Presented by: Truancy Intervention Project (TIP)

CLE: 3 CLE Hours, including 1 Professionalism Hour

The Truancy Intervention Project is a partnership between the Fulton County Juvenile Court, Fulton County School System, Atlanta Public Schools, TIP, and the Atlanta Bar Foundation.   The Project provides volunteer attorney and non-attorney partners to children and families who are involved with the juvenile court system due to excessive absences from school and to children and families to intervene at the school level, before a juvenile court referral becomes necessary.  Advocating for the truant child aims to train volunteers on ways to increase student attendance and opportunities for success through legal and family advocacy.
