The Atlanta Bar’s EJLE Initiative was established to engage the legal community and key stakeholders (citizens and the law enforcement community) in a focused collaborative effort to help prevent and lessen the prospect of law enforcement shootings (and/or the use of excessive force) involving non-violent unarmed citizens.  Our School/Community Outreach program provides meaningful opportunities to volunteer in a school or community center setting to help students learn about their Fourth Amendment Constitutional Rights and strategies designed to help prevent escalating conflict in encounters with law enforcement.

Our next school outreach meeting will take place on Thursday, March 30th from 9:00 a.m. to 10 a.m.  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Denisha Wise at dwise@atlantabar.org.
