Atlanta Bar Association Lawyer Referral and Information Service (LRIS) Call Center Service Representative

Job Summary: This part-time position (24 hours/week) serves the public by interviewing, analyzing and directing callers to attorneys or other legal resources according to a specified procedure. Performs specific administrative duties relative to the referral process. Assists LRIS Director with the administration of other necessary tasks essential for operations. Duties include, but are not limited to:


Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Interview and analyze the legal needs of the caller through determined criteria to refer them towards the best form of assistance
• Create and maintain statistical reporting data on calls taken
• Correspond with attorneys regarding reporting and other program operations
• Maintain accurate record keeping of attorney reports
• Maintain good relationship with panel attorneys to solve program issues that may arise
• Scan and file case summary reports
• Assist Director and other LRIS staff with special projects as needed


Job Skills/Qualifications: Must be able to multitask; work independently, as well as with a team; must have polished grammar, telephone etiquette, written and conversation skills; be able to work in a fast paced environment


Preferred Expertise: English and Spanish language proficiency

Required Expertise: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat; 3-5 years of work experience
