The Atlanta Bar Association is a respected and storied institution with a membership of almost 6000 members from the counties constituting the United States census Atlanta Metropolitan area. Our members – which includes students from area law schools - are as diverse and varied as the activities and programs we offer to them. This includes numerous professional, social, financial, charitable and civic programs and services, which we hope you will explore!

We provide our members with quality Continuing Legal Education courses which have won national recognition and present current cost-effective programming to equip lawyers in their areas of practice. Each year, Pro Bono March Madness offers numerous CLE programs to help train lawyers who can volunteer with partnering public service organizations to address unmet legal needs in our community. Our Sections and committees provide relationship building and leadership training opportunities. And the Lawyer Referral and Information Service assists the public in finding the right attorney who can serve them with professionalism, integrity and a commitment to service.

We enjoy healthy, collaborative relationships with other community bars, including the State Bar of Georgia, minority bars and many sister bar associations. In 2000, the Atlanta Bar led the way in forming the Multi-Bar Leadership Council (MBLC), which brings representatives from 18 local bar associations together each month to discuss common issues and goals.
