The Estate Planning & Probate Section is finishing the 2018-2019 Atlanta Bar year strong!
For the first time, the Estate Planning and Probate Section contributed to the Atlanta Bar’s Summer Law Internship Program (SLIP) with a generous donation of $2,100. The Section will also be donating $2,100 to the Georgia Heirs Property Law Center. Additionally, the Estate Planning & Probate Section contributed to the 2018 End of Summer Party, 2018 Celebrating Service Luncheon, the 2019 Atlanta Bar’s March Madness and purchased a half table for the 2019 Annual Meeting. The Estate Planning and Probate Section is also a large donor to the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyer Foundation (AVLF) wine tasting event occurring in the fall.

SPRING EVENTS

At the April 10, 2019 Section Breakfast, David Adams and Quinn Shearer of Adams Capital spoke on the “Top 10 Business Valuation Issues Every Attorney Should Know.” The Section's May breakfast featured Jeff Zitron of Hendrick Rascoe Zitron & Long, LLC, who spoke on the topic of Asset Protection Rules, Tools and Georgia Update. The first breakfast of the 2019-2020 year will be held June 12, 2019 where Barbara Koll of the Fulton County Probate Court will speak on Current Topics in Guardianship/Conservatorship.

On April 30, 2019 the Estate Planning and Probate Section held its annual Speakers & Sponsors Dinner at the Ansley Golf Club. This event honors the section’s wonderful event speakers and sponsors. The Section’s sponsors for the 2018-2019 year are Moore Stephens Tiller LLC, American Surety Bonds, Brightworth, Regions, Adams Capital, Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, and Sterling Foundation Management, LLC.
