Bankruptcy Law Section 2019 David W. Pollard Award & Spring CLE Program
Honoring Alison Elko Franklin


The Board of Directors of the Bankruptcy Section of the Atlanta Bar Association is pleased to announce that the 2019 David W. Pollard Achievement Award will be presented to Alison Elko Franklin, Dentons US LLP.

Each year, the Board presents the Award to a person who is a member of the Atlanta Bar who best exemplifies the highest standards of professionalism and ethics in the bankruptcy practice.

We invite you to attend the luncheon honoring Alison Elko Franklin on Thursday,

May 16, 2019, following the Annual Spring CLE Program.

Presentation of Pollard Award to Alison Elko Franklin, Dentons US LLP by The Honorable C. Ray Mullins, Retired Judge, United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia

 

About the Pollard Award Recipient:

Alison Elko Franklin is a Senior Managing Associate with Dentons in Atlanta, where she focuses her practice on corporate reorganizations, municipal reform, creditors' rights litigation and distressed transactions. She earned her J.D. in 2003 from the Emory University School of Law and her B.S. from the University of South Carolina, magna cum laude with honors from the South Carolina Honors College. Alison has been integral to the Bankruptcy Section of the Atlanta Bar Association’s success. She is a past Chair of the Section and has been integral to expanding the volunteer opportunities for our members while on the Board.  Alison is a co-founder and the volunteer advisor for the Low Income Creditor Assistance Project, a co-founder and volunteer for the Reaffirmation Project, and the Chair of the Advisory Committee to the expand the Modest Means Program sponsored by the Atlanta Bar Association's Lawyer Referral and Information Service. Under her leadership, the Bankruptcy Section received three awards from the Atlanta Bar Association: the Community Service Award, the Pro Bono Award, and the Small Section of the Year Award.  For more information about Alison, visit:
