Help assure students' due process rights are respected. Under Georgia law, K-12 public school students faced with expulsion, or a proposed out-of-school suspension of more than ten days, are entitled to dispute the disciplinary action at a "tribunal" administrative hearing. This seminar will instruct practitioners on serving as legal counsel for students during the tribunal process, from the initial hearing through any appeals. A training manual is provided. The program will focus on the representation of children in foster care in Georgia, and attendees may receive notifications of opportunities to represent such children in tribunal hearings.





Due to space limitations, advance registration and payment are required.

Pay-at-door registrations are not available for any session.
