A Conversation with Emmet Bondurant

In September, we will host Emmet Bondurant to talk about his public interest and pro bono work, including the landmark congressional apportionment case Wesberry v. Sanders, which he argued (and won) at the Supreme Court when he was only 26 years old.

Mr. Bondurant’s career has included a strong commitment to community service and pro bono litigation, including death penalty, habeas corpus, reapportionment, and other civil rights and constitutional cases. He has served as President and a Director of the Atlanta Legal Aid Society, Chairman and a member of the National Board of Common Cause, and Chairman of the Georgia Public Defender Standards Council.  Mr. Bondurant is the founding partner Bondurant Mixson & Elmore, an Atlanta-based law firm for trial and appellate legal services.

There is no cost to attend, but attendance is limited to the first 15 Public Interest Law Section members that register.  Each participant is responsible for his/her own food and beverage.
