The State of GA Secretary of State’s Office is seeking volunteers to serve as poll workers for the November 3rd election. The goal is to ensure that all polls have enough staff to function given that many prior workers, who are age 65 or older and are more vulnerable to COVID-19/coronavirus, may not serve during this election. The Secretary’s Office is partnering with various Chambers of Commerce, the ACLU, and other community organizations to recruit poll workers, including attorneys.

If you would like to volunteer, please click on any of the links below to register. Of course, working as a poll worker requires you to be at a polling place in person, and currently the Atlanta Bar is not holding in-person events in order to protect our Bar staff and members. As such, the choice to serve as a poll worker in the current health crisis is a personal one, and it is your responsibility to assess your risks and any conditions that may render you more vulnerable and to consult with your healthcare provider. The Atlanta Bar is not responsible for a volunteer becoming sick as a result of serving as a poll worker.
