Communications Coordinator

 

The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the Sections Director with communications, in addition to creating materials for the Atlanta Bar which includes bar-wide blasts, website development and maintenance. In addition to communication skills, this position requires strong organizational skills. Candidates must have good presentation and interpersonal communication, and periodically will serve as an ambassador of the Atlanta Bar Association. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

     •    Perform data entry tasks, such as assisting with setting up online registration, exporting distribution lists, etc.

    Create and distribute blast emails and other digital promotions for all for all Association and

Foundation events and various projects using provided information and copy.

 

    Publicize and distribute all Association and Foundation events to local press.

    Create and update content and press items for Association website.

    Intermittently attend and manage Association sponsored events, Continuing Legal Education events and Section meetings as needed.

 

Must be detail-oriented with the ability to perform repetitive tasks without losing accuracy. Multi- tasking is essential. Early morning and nighttime events involved. Transportation required.

 

Required skills: Robly or other email marketing software, Basic HTML coding and website maintenance, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and CRM software knowledge.

 

Education: Bachelor Degree in Communications or related field. Salary commensurate to experience. Excellent benefits package.
